| Edlund Family Cookbook Now Available! June 7, 2007 The Lyle Edlund Family Cookbook has been compiled and now available. This one of a kind family cookbook contains between 1050 and 1100 recipes. The recipes are family favorites from years gone by. The book features recipes that Lyle and Lorraine Edlund's parents used, and new family favorites as well. The Edlund family has generously compiled this cookbook and will have it for sale, with any profits being donated to the Binford Grocery & Hardware Store fund. 500 cookbooks have been ordered. The family has paid for the books up-front hoping the community and alumni will continue their awesome support for the store and enjoy a bit of Binford family recipe history. The price of the book is $20 per copy. | Binford Alumni Visiting From The Air 10-25-07 It's a bird, it's a plane, O.K., a jet, and yes it was flying over Binford. In that jet was Ralph Krogfoss and friends. Mr. Krogfoss, a Binford Alumnus, has been a strong supporter of our great community, and decided some aerial photos would look great on the website. We couldn't agree more! While our web designers find a great place for them to be showcased, we will post them here so you get a chance to see them early. | Binford is Entrepreneurial Community of the Year 1-16-08 The community of Binford was recognized today at the 2008 Marketplace for Entrepreneur's as the Entrepreneurial Community of the Year. North Dakota State Senator Kent Conrad and Ag Commissioner Roger Johnson presented the award. The community was recognized for it's efforts to rebuild it's grocery and hardware store after a devastating fire destroyed their old store. All the residents wanted their store back. Donations and many hours of volunteer efforts went into the opening of a new store. Congratulations to the City of Binford, and it's citizens! |
